Blaz Gallegos from Los BPMs just sent over those brand new remixes, straight from Los Angeles. They did a pretty good job on mashing up Human Resource‘s legendary techno anthem Dominator and MSTRKRFT‘s also no less well-known party track VuVuVu. If you like what you hear, take a look at their mySpace site to get some more remixes and show them some mySpace love.
Nice to see big names from the electronic music scene on the list of Barack Obama‘s supporters. Among these you may also find Adam Freeland, one of my personal favourites when it comes to innovative electro. At this year’s Coachella, he played a remix of Daft Punk‘s Aerodynamic, overdubbed with a speech synthesizer spelling Obama‘s name. Thanks to the boys at Discobelle, I got hold of that mp3:
DiscoDemons is proud to be the first blog to present LAZRtag‘s newest masterpiece which has leaked only a few minutes ago: Once more, M.I.A.‘s Paper Planes was remixed by electronic producers, and as always, LAZRtag delivers high-quality stuff. Check it out for yourself and show LAZRtag some mySpace love:
Just a quick mixtape I made for a friend of mine, don’t expect anything groundbreaking, this was done in about half an hour. Had to kill time, I’m bored as hell, can’t leave my house due to fever…
Seems like this is one of the first remixes of Bunny Lake‘s Into The Future. I honestly love that one, the distorted synths add the extra kick which the original lacks. That’s how it should’ve been done in the first place. Thanks to Christoph from Pola-Riot for sending this masterpiece over!
“Guys, we will be shooting a Bloody Beetroots video in a couple of alleys in Melbourne tomorrow nite. We need presence for one of the scenes, would be cool if as many supporters as possible from Melbourne could make it.
9PM, Outside Billboards NightClub on corner of Russel and Little Bourke Streets,City!
… is not even close to be accurate to describe this video. I feel a bit guilty for ripping this straight off Asian Dan‘s blog, but as you may have noticed this video really caught me. What I’d give to see them live!
To be honest, I never liked the direction Pendulum chose with their new album, In Silico. Their sound changed from solid Drum’n'Bass to what can be best described as some kind of DnB influenced, thus fast pop-rock. I definitely don’t belong to the people telling everybody how much Pendulum sucks, as I said, I honestly liked their old style, but now they they’ve gone too far: Covering Coldplay‘s Violent Hill live on a BBC Radio 1 airplay prooves pretty much that they have finalley decided to abandon their career in the DnB scene and start all over again as a commercial pop-rock band. It’s a shame they didn’t even have the balls to change their name… R.I.P., Pendulum!
Up and coming Austrian electro producers Bunny Lake are about releasing their first single from the new album. Into The Future EP, including remixes from Tronik Youth, The Aston Shuffle and Zombie Disco Squad, released on Klein Records, will hit the records stores by the end of september. According to their mySpace blog, they’ll shoot a video in the next weeks. Seems like they really want to be their next album to be a major success. Just in case: I knew them before you did, I listened to them waaaay before they were hyped, you first heard about them here… =)
