I don’t know the exact number of Paper Planes remixes, but there are a lot of them out there, circulating the blogosphere. Here’s one of the best I’ve heard so far, straight from LA. Show DSKOTEK some mySpace love for delivering high quality remixes…
Seems like besides from producing pretty decent electronic dance music under the pseudonym High Powered Boys, Bobmo and Surkin from Paris-based label Institubes also know how to enjoy themselves. Still amazed how young Surkin is, he doesn’t seem to be much older than I am. Well, in fact he is not much older than I am. Amazing.
To be honest, this remix is not really what I would call brand new, some other blogs already had it on Friday or even before. Personally, I didn’t have enough time to check it out, maybe I paid to much attention to Justice. Nevertheless, after having finally listened to it, I have to say it’s an awesome remix, it takes MSTRKRFT‘s disco killer to the next level. Toronto based producers Mansion did quite a good job on that one, I definitely like that piano, and after a couple of listens, I can’t imagine the original without those organ parts any longer.
Well, to be exact, it’s not really a remix, I guess the term MashUp does a better job on that one. Anyways, this masterpiece actually contains 6 single tracks, pretty much if you keep in mind that Planisphère has been out only for a few days:
Justice – Planisphère Daft Punk – Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger Kanye West & Daft Punk – Stronger (live @ the Grammy’s) Kanye West – Stronger Kanye West – Stronger (A-Trak Remix) Diplo – Work Is Never Over
Props to Immuzikation for being the first to bring us a remix of Justice’s brand new track!
Couldn’t find anything groundbreaking, so I thought about posting some stuff from Kavinsky, definitely one of my favourite electro artists. He’s music sounds as if it was taken from the soundtrack of an old movie from the 80s, everything’s so retro. Everytime I listen to Kavinsky‘s tracks, I feel like having a flashback to a time I haven’t even experienced myself. The vintage analogue synths he uses, the way he covers up his identity, his style, everything seems to fit perfectly. I honestly admire Kavinsky, to me, he’s something like the personified coolness…
