Who says Paris is the home of electronic dance music? Lots of big tunes from Dublin, Ireland recently: Ghostscene DJs, Mark Lam, Schizofonics: “DJing together for over 10 years, the lads put their heads together in 2008 and began to make some tunes. It was the success of their first remix, Mustard Pimp’s Zombie’s Revenge that inspired them to keep the remixes coming (Schizofonics’ remix is featured on the official release of Zombie’s Revenge).” – I just love copy & paste.

Remember when I was asking producers to remix Phoenix – 1901 a few weeks ago? I received dozens of remix which I’d love to share with you. For obvious reasons, I have to limit myself, so I picked 5 remixes which I liked best. There’s no certain ranking as they all feature highly individual aspects (alphabetical order!)

Completely reworked shuffled beat. Love the way the synths sound so amazingly retro, makes me think of Van Halen’s Jump. Awesome!

Soft, chilled atmosphere. Nice and quiet in general. One of my faves.

Remember when I first featured 16-year old Mexican producers Kry-Lon back in ’08? Currently working on an EP featuring original tracks, they just hooked me up with a few new remixes. I really love their unique, fresh style when it comes to remixing: Adding heavy basslines, aggressive synths and kicking drums while preserving enough of the original track’s style.
