Boom Boom Boom!

Good morning, had a great time DJing yesterday – still a bit hung over, though. Here’s a tune that has been rocking my day so far. Not what I’d call brand new, but definitely hot. Don’t think I have to introduce Fake Blood and Jack Beats, right?

Sorry

Hey kiddos, been pretty busy this week: Spent Wednesday and Thursday in Vienna, doing absolutely nothing except visiting friends and drinking coffee in old-school Viennese cafés. Will be DJing tonight at a local venue in Austria, don’t expect any new posts before tomorrow (evening).
Have a nice weekend y’all, take care.

The Evil Blog

Let me just quote the press statement, kiddos: “This time Buzzard Gulch has gone to the darkest spaces to discover the most tortured sounds available. Evil Blog 2 is filled with tracks that are sure to rattle the very center of your soul. [...] This is not a collection for the weary heart. Your nerves will be placed at the edge, taunted by the shadows, as the haunting sounds of Evil Blog 2 engulf you from within.”

If you enjoy this scary mix, don’t hesitate to head over to Beatport to buy the whole thing as an unmixed, seperate compilation.
1. Frederik Olufsen – Step One (Lacrimosa)
2. Polymorphic – Technomusic
3. Nujax – Super Duper Fly
4. Miike – Love Get Out of My Way (Designer Drugs Remix)
5. Azzido Da Bass – I Want U (Disco Trash Music’s Rave Mix)
6. LaTourette – Vert Sachet
7. Disco of Doom – Warpig
8. The Bass Knights – Infernal Carnival
9. Fukkk Offf – Love Me Hate Me Kiss Me Kill Me (Disco of Doom Remix)

Wait For Me

Sometimes I receive promos I fall in love with immediately, here’s one of them: To promote his upcoming release, Moby will be giving away one remix per week, starting with a big name in the UK Drum & Bass scene – Matrix & Futurebound leave their unique remix fingerprint on One Time We Lived to make an already quite decent track even better.

[insert random catchy phrase]

To be honest, the reason why I’m posting this is because there was only shit in my inbox today – something that happens quite often on Saturdays and (even worse) Sundays. Easy Love is one of my favorite tracks from MSTRKRFT’s first album The Looks which was way better than the next one, Fist Of God. I can actually listen to The Looks without feeling that certain urge to slam my head against a wall repeatedly and very hard that overcame me when I first got my hands on Fist Of God. I’m posting this in 128k only because I’m afraid that JFK might fly over to Europe and brutally shoot me with one of his firearms he keeps bragging about on Facebook. Yes, I do have a hangover.

Pola-Riot

Banging greetings from my favorite Austrian electro fuckers – they don’t call ‘em Pola-Riot for nothing: Their latest remix is a brutal attack on your ear drums and will definitely cause serious damage to dancefloors all over the world. To be honest, these guys should be imprisoned for constantly releasing huge, nasty bass monsters whilst throwing the hottest parties in Vienna.

Over Again

Just the right track to make the cold autumn fog go away: Crème Prulée from my very own Austria hooked me up with a huge remix of Kid Rad‘s Over Again which is rocking my headphones right now. Hammering rap verses backed by a heavy arrangement of dirty distorted synths and a sick pulsating and uplifting bassline. Definitely something to bang your heads to, kiddos!

Rogue Element Remix Contest

Hey kiddos, another huge remix contest: To mark the release of the new Rogue Element single Lumina (which is awesome, by the way), Exceptional Records are giving you a chance to get your grubby mits on the stem audio files from the track. Feel free to kick them about, splice them with your own noises, throw them at the wall, paint them green, do whatever you like but bring us something to get excited about. The winners will be judged by Exceptional Records and Mr. Element himself.

The winner gets full promotion through Exceptional Records, including announcements on various web pages as well as mailing lists to thousands of media partners. Furthermore, the winning producer will get a stack of CDs from Exceptional Records – and if your remix is really, really good, it will be released on iTunes and Beatport.

I guess that’s enough motivation for all of you producing folks out there, now quickly head over to mySpace and listen to the original here, go get yourself the stems here and then start chopping, slicing, mixing and fixing. If you’re content with the result, go email it to info@exceptionalrecords.co.uk until November 13, including name and email adress in the ID3-tags of your mp3. Please don’t flood Exceptional Records’ inbox by sending files larger than 10MB.

Oh, and please consider sending over your remixes to your beloved friend Disco Demons, to maybe get some extra promotion…
