Hangover Post #2

Saturday afternoon, I still suffer from serious headache and dizziness, it’s about to snow in Austria – time for another hangover post, I’d say. Let’s just take a short break from the usual banging electro sound and have something a bit more … downtempo. Got some unique tunes that escort me drifting through the day lined up for you.

First one in line is no less than Italian maestro Ennio Morricone. I’ve always been a big fan of his amazing work, he kind of invented the idea of sampling which almost every electronic track is based on. I truly admire this man’s work, he’s definitely one of the real masterminds in music.

The next one is an orchestral piece as well: I stumbled upon Lunar from New Zealand a few years ago and have been addicted to his music ever since. Orchestral soundscapes combined with huge drums and lots of broken beats make this artist’s excellent music stand out against others.

Lunar – Black Box

Last but not least there’s The Penelopes, an amazing french electro pop band that feature an unique sound that I’m totally in love with. Their song Demian is one of my all-time favorites according to my iTunes play count, definitely a perfect trip to listen to when you’re in the right mood.
