Unreleased Felix Cartal Track: “Popular Music”

I’ve been knocking on Dim Mak‘s doors loud enough to get a promo copy of Felix Cartal‘s upcoming album “Popular Damage” which will be released on February 23. While the album is still in the mail, they’ve sent over the album’s title track to give away for free.
Popular Music is easily the best track I’ve heard so far in 2010, can’t wait for the full album to arrive. It’s hard to describe this track, on the one hand it’s driven by Felix Cartal’s banging trademark sound, on the other hand it’s obvious that he’s been listening to Soulwax’s Miserable Girl a lot. Topped off with catchy vocals, this track is more than just a promising teaser for the album.

    Felix Cartal? What!? Hot

Steve Jones of Jonesy's Jukebox hosts Jonah Hill and the Duplass Brothers to discuss their upcoming film “Cyrus”. John C. Reilly plays John, a lonely divorcé who meets Molly, the woman of his dreams. It seems there is only room for one man in Molly’s life and her son, Cyrus, played by Jonah Hill, is not going to give up the top spot without a fight. John and Cyrus have met their match in this comical struggle for power written and directed by Jay and Mark Duplass. May the best man win! Check out this, and many more of Jonesy’s Jukebox full length interviews with Bob Saget, Wilmer Valderrama, Billy Corgan, Zeina Durra, Michael Chiklis to name a few at IAMROGUE.
