Don’t expect any new blog posts today, I just bought a new toy.
Thought I might give you something to bang your heads to tonight – came in quite handy that I found this gem in my inbox: Hervé’s latest remix, Not Going Home from Faithless. Solid as a rock, this mix might blow you away or make your neighbours call the police. Have a good weekend y’all, turn it up loud!
I’ve been knocking on
Dim Mak‘s doors loud enough to get a promo copy of
Felix Cartal‘s upcoming album “Popular Damage” which will be released on February 23. While the album is still in the mail, they’ve sent over the album’s title track to give away for free.
Popular Music is easily the best track I’ve heard so far in 2010, can’t wait for the full album to arrive. It’s hard to describe this track, on the one hand it’s driven by Felix Cartal’s banging trademark sound, on the other hand it’s obvious that he’s been listening to Soulwax’s Miserable Girl a lot. Topped off with catchy vocals, this track is more than just a promising teaser for the album.

Seems as if it’s going to be a good year, with the third exclusive track on Disco Demons within six days: This time it’s Mr. Nô from France who treats us with a special present. After having covered almost every single remix this guy has done (just use the top left search form), it’s about time for his first original track, titled He or She. Those of you who have been following my blog for a while might already know what to expect: Excellent production, amazing (sometimes quite Justice-esque) synths and of course lots of analogue bass line madness. Love it!
This is a ticket giveaway for an event in Austria I’m DJing at, hence this post will be written in German:
