2010 Rewind

With my winter laziness peaking in another shameless act of letting somebody else do the dirty work, here’s a (subjective) Best Of 2010 – which is not my own, but certainly broadly similar to mine. 2010 Rewind is a unique 3 hours (!) mix by Aka Tell of Austrian A.G.Trio fame, blending his personal musical highlights into a single mixtape.

The huge tracklist is available on SoundCloud, with some comments and personal remarks by Aka Tell himself. Some of my personal favourites can be found there, including Caribou, Lusine, Wolfgang Gartner, Adam Freeland, Porter Robinson – and of course Gui Boratto’s legendary remix for Massive Attack’s Paradise Circus.

The first part contains house tracks and deeper sound that you would not normally expect in my DJ sets – unless you know for example the nights I do at Solaris in Linz at irregular intervals. I think this part makes a great intro if you listen to this mix at home. The main part includes some real dancefloor rocking tracks and everything I play when I´m invited to burn dancefloors.
