Once again it´s time for Aka Tell´s “Hangover Sessions”. A lot of different tracks found their way to this months mix and create some kind of a wild journey.

Sometimes it can take pretty long from producing music to it´s release. This can be hard for an artist, especially as it´s sometimes totally out of your control. I think the longest I had to wait was more than a year. After such a long time your own music might sound to yourself like a memory from ancient times. Dance-music developes very fast and after some months you definitely would have another approach.
In this months mix I included two remixes the A.G.Trio did and that will be released in September. Both are not that old as I described above, but still I had enough opportunities to test them out live so I can guarantee that they will rock every dancefloor. One we did for an anthem that Dead C∆T Bounce and You Killing Me did together – “Justice!”. I think we made it even more anthemic and it might be the hardest tune we did so far. The other one is for The Sexinvaders “LA Love” and it plays with the given pop-appeal of the original track but adds some A.G.Trio action.
I have to admit that I was not totally convinced of Wolfgang Gartner´s new track “Menage A Trois” when I heard it for the first time. But – uncommon for Wolfgang – it took some time. He tries a new kind of building up tension with this track and although it might not be that much of a pop hit, like for example “Illmerica” was, it is a great club tune. Maybe it is even the better club tune.
This months mix is a wild journey through different genres, you will find classic electro house, like the excellent new The S release, tech house and even techno in it. And as much as I like Gesaffelsteins music I normally would not play it in my sets. But I do play the S-File Edit – and I am wondering that no one else edited Gesaffelstein like that before.
Aka Tell´s Hangover Sessions is a series of monthly dj mixes. For one hour Aka spins the tracks that he loved most, that influenced him or about that he really had to say some words during the last few weeks. Every mix is accompanied by an article on discodemons.net in which he is disclosing thoughts, stories and anecdotes about that mix, the last month and DJing in general.
