As each and every Easter Thursday since 2008, living legend Erol Alkan will be playing one of his infamous marathon sets at Fire, London on March 28. Starting out rather harmlessly with a five hour set in 2008, Erol has added an hour each year until reaching the final conclusion now in 2013 by doubling the initial numbers: this year’s epic ten hour set will be his last Easter marathon ever.
“As is tradition the first part of the set begins in candlelight with Erol playing anything from beat-less ambience to psych and disco dubs. The journey then wends its way through techno, house, vintage disco with the odd pop and rock classic thrown in.”
Starting as early as 9pm, Erol will be playing continuously until 7am, showcasing not only physical endurance but also an exceptionally deep understanding of all kinds of music. Early bird tickets are available on Bugged Out. More details on the Facebook event page.
