Today is a good day. Not only because it’s almost Friday, but also because one of my all-time favorites in electronic dance music just resurfaced again basically out of nowhere: Adam Freeland of Brighton’s Marine Parade fame just put his remix fingerprint right in the middle of Lana Del Rey’s apathetic face.
As expected, the unique break-beats-approach to electro that has always been Freeland’s key to success does not fail to work its charm here, coupled with a deep, rather warehouse-esque bassline, warm synth stabs washing over the mix and high-pitched bits and pieces of the original’s vocals sparkling here and there. The official remix will be out soon, the vocal mix can be downloaded for free below.
What would Bill Murray do?
