Sweet Dreams

Hiya kiddos, been busy enjoying the summer. You might’ve noticed that there are slightly less posts than usual, mainly because there are lots of other interesting things to do when temperatures reach 35°C (95°F) and more: Barbecue, swimming, hanging out with friends, …

Anyway, back to music: Seems as if most of my favorite producers are doing the same things I’m doing (instead of producing banging tracks), so I decided to post up quite an old but excellent track: Eurythmics’ classic Sweet Dreams, with Steve Angello’s remix fingerprints all over it. And before you even think about asking: Yes, I got it from Kavinsky.

Eurythmics – Sweet Dreams (Steve Angello Remix)

Oh, and remember: I’m still giving away tickets for L.A., scroll down a few posts.

Allons, Allons!

Guess what everybody’s darlings dropped in my inbox a few hours ago: Housse de Racket‘s brand new track Synthetiseur, remixed by The Teenagers. They put their unique remix fingerprint on a Phoenix-esque retro synth-pop track. Amazing!

D. Ramirez TICKET GIVEAWAY – LA, August 15

“D.Ramirez is on his way to becoming one of the biggest names in dance music. Again.” This quote by DJ magazine MixMag pretty much sums it up: Having played over 5 Essential Mixes on Pete Tong’s Radio One, D. Ramirez is certainly one of the really big names in club and house scenes all over the world. This summer, he’s about to release five brand new singles, including collaborations with artists such as Underworld. Here’s a little sneak preview to one of these tracks, Satur8.

In order to promote his upcoming releases, D. Ramirez will be touring the US in August, now that is where it gets really interesting for you, kiddos: I’m feeling lucky today, so I’m giving away TWO FREE TICKETS to his show at the GIANT CLUB AT VANGUARD in LOS ANGELES, CA on AUGUST, 15. Just email me at discodemons@gmail.com putting “LOS ANGELES” in the subject line and cross your fingers. Good luck, kiddos!

Disco of Doom

Banging news from Coco Machete’s latest signing: Hailing from the UK, DJ and production duo Disco of Doom brings two dark, massive tracks, Warpig and Spawn Again. Their deep and heavy style reminds me of artists like Polymorphic or even Proxy. Make sure to check their mySpace for remixes of Chemical Brothers and Fukkk Offf.

Lumina

I guess I don’t have to introduce The Rogue Element, he’s been around for quite a while. His latest album titled Lumina dropped on June 29, featuring a bunch of amazing fresh tracks and broken beats. I honestly recommend it to everyone who’s into breakbeat. Here’s a little teaser to the full album, close your eyes and take a listen, kiddos:

Superpimp

Good news, kiddos: I’ve returned from my boat trip, had an awesome week on a sailing boat. I spent the last few hours quickly skimming through hundreds of emails, trying to catch up with things.

Anyway, here’s the perfect welcome-back-track: Superpimpin by Viennese electro outfit Pola-Riot, not only throwing the hottest parties in town but also producing massive tunes. This track will be definitely my weapon of choice for opening the next DJ sets I’m playing, or a peak-time killer for the bass-hungry crowds. Enough talk, just have a listen and you’ll know what I’m talking about.
