Good morning, had a great time DJing yesterday – still a bit hung over, though. Here’s a tune that has been rocking my day so far. Not what I’d call brand new, but definitely hot. Don’t think I have to introduce Fake Blood and Jack Beats, right?
Hey kiddos, been pretty busy this week: Spent Wednesday and Thursday in Vienna, doing absolutely nothing except visiting friends and drinking coffee in old-school Viennese cafés. Will be DJing tonight at a local venue in Austria, don’t expect any new posts before tomorrow (evening).
Let me just quote the press statement, kiddos: “This time Buzzard Gulch has gone to the darkest spaces to discover the most tortured sounds available. Evil Blog 2 is filled with tracks that are sure to rattle the very center of your soul. [...] This is not a collection for the weary heart. Your nerves will be placed at the edge, taunted by the shadows, as the haunting sounds of Evil Blog 2 engulf you from within.”
If you enjoy this scary mix, don’t hesitate to head over to Beatport to buy the whole thing as an unmixed, seperate compilation.

Sometimes I receive promos I fall in love with immediately, here’s one of them: To promote his upcoming release, Moby will be giving away one remix per week, starting with a big name in the UK Drum & Bass scene – Matrix & Futurebound leave their unique remix fingerprint on One Time We Lived to make an already quite decent track even better.
Good news, kiddos: Hot Chip will be spinning at the Avalon on Friday, got two tickets to give away. If you think you should get these tickets, just email me at discodemons@gmail.com and tell me what you’re gonna wear for Halloween. Subject line HOLLYWOOD.
To be honest, the reason why I’m posting this is because there was only shit in my inbox today – something that happens quite often on Saturdays and (even worse) Sundays. Easy Love is one of my favorite tracks from MSTRKRFT’s first album The Looks which was way better than the next one, Fist Of God. I can actually listen to The Looks without feeling that certain urge to slam my head against a wall repeatedly and very hard that overcame me when I first got my hands on Fist Of God. I’m posting this in 128k only because I’m afraid that JFK might fly over to Europe and brutally shoot me with one of his firearms he keeps bragging about on Facebook. Yes, I do have a hangover.
Banging greetings from my favorite Austrian electro fuckers – they don’t call ‘em Pola-Riot for nothing: Their latest remix is a brutal attack on your ear drums and will definitely cause serious damage to dancefloors all over the world. To be honest, these guys should be imprisoned for constantly releasing huge, nasty bass monsters whilst throwing the hottest parties in Vienna.
Just the right track to make the cold autumn fog go away: Crème Prulée from my very own Austria hooked me up with a huge remix of Kid Rad‘s Over Again which is rocking my headphones right now. Hammering rap verses backed by a heavy arrangement of dirty distorted synths and a sick pulsating and uplifting bassline. Definitely something to bang your heads to, kiddos!
